This record group consists of 58 different line drawings which depict famous events and persons in Michigan history. These illustrations were made for the historical publication "Michigan in four centuries" which was written by F. Clever Bald under the auspices of the Munson Publication Fund. The subjects which are depicted in these drawings include the Indians inhabiting the area, French and British settlements, early American territorial growth, and the growth of the state up until 1961. The drawings were originally collected by the Michigan Department of State, History Division.
